Hi everyone!
I thought I would share a little bit about myself so that we become better acquainted! My name is Adrienne Strangways, and this is my first year teaching at Iron Ridge Elementary! I was born in Kitchener, Ontario and lived there until I moved to Antigonish, Nova Scotia for my undergraduate degree. In Antigonish, I studied at St. Francis Xavier University, completing my Bachelor of Psychology. After completing my Bachelor's degree, I decided to follow my true passion; teaching. I moved to the big city of Toronto, Ontario to complete my Masters in Teaching with a focus in Primary and Junior Education. I now live in Red Deer and I am so excited to learn and explore with the grade two students in Blackfalds! In my spare time I enjoy baking, petting dogs, reading, binge watching Netflix and dancing! I was a competitive highland dancer and dance teacher for a number of years and still teach and take classes here and there. I also love to travel and spent 5 weeks in Europe this summer! I can't wait to get to know your child and have a great start to grade two with them! Thanks! |
